Who we are
Railey is an Interrail planning service that helps travelers create, save, compare, and share train trips across Europe.
What we collect
We collect information needed to run Railey, including details you provide while creating an account, planning or sharing trips, managing preferences, and using the service, along with technical information that helps us operate, secure, and improve the product.
How we use it
We use this information to provide planning features, save and sync trips, support collaboration, send relevant service or optional marketing messages, improve recommendations, measure product performance, prevent abuse, and understand whether Railey is working well.
Shared trips
When you share a trip, people with access may see the route, stops, notes, links, and other planning details. Depending on the permissions you choose, they may also be able to edit the trip. Public links can make a trip visible to anyone with the link.
AI, maps, and travel data
Some planning, map, routing, search, booking-link, and AI-assisted features may rely on service providers that process relevant information to return results. Travel information can come from third parties and may change outside our control.
Analytics and measurement
Railey uses optional analytics and performance tools to understand usage, reliability, errors, and how key features are working. These non-essential tags stay off unless you allow them in your cookie choices.
Email and newsletter
If you create an account, reset a password, share a trip, invite collaborators, or opt in to email updates, we may send service or marketing emails through email providers. Newsletter signup is optional, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails or contact hello@railey.app.
Improving Railey
We may review usage patterns, feedback, errors, and trip-related information in aggregated or limited form to improve planning quality, product behavior, performance, accessibility, and safety checks.
Retention and choices
We keep information for as long as it is useful for the service, required for security or legal reasons, or needed to resolve issues. Where applicable, you can ask to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal information.
Cookie choices
You can allow, reject, or change optional analytics and marketing tags at any time.
Sharing and providers
We do not sell personal information. We share information with providers only as needed to operate, protect, measure, and improve Railey, including providers that support infrastructure, account access, communication, analytics, maps, travel features, security, and AI-assisted planning.
Some processing may happen outside your country. When needed, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes to this policy
